There are many different models for selling Zego Smart as an upgrade to your residents. In some of those models, you might be offering residents a "free trial" for 30 or 60 days, after which they have to opt-out to avoid paying the Zego Smart Amenity Fee. If they opt out, obviously you will have to revoke their access to the smart lock and other devices.

To do this, please follow these steps in New.zego.io:

  • Using the search bar, navigate to the Zego Smart page for the unit you are looking for.
  • Click the "Users" Icon to view the User Management page for that unit.
  • If the Zego Smart Icon is "ON", click it to change to "OFF" (If you are only revoking access for one user, just deactivate for that user).
  • Once all users have been deactivated, the lock code will be changed so that the residents no longer have the ability to use the smart lock.
